Aviso Surfboards specialises in composite engineering techniques to manufacture hollow, carbon fibre surfboards. The materials and methods used are mainly known in the defence industry. Aviso Surfboards relies upon designs crafted by some of the world's most recognised shapers. The boards are completely hollow. A High Temperature Fibre Placement Process allows the boards to be some of the strongest boards ever designed and produced. Nothing ties the top and bottom component except for the rails. This unique feature acts as a suspension system to launch the surfer from one turn to next with remarkable control and momentum. Aviso boards will outlast any board on the market. No longer will a surfer count swells or seasons of board use, but years, and many at that. The price of an Aviso may be higher than any board you have ever purchased, but they are not necessarily more expensive. There are a number of measurable advantages that the Aviso boards possess that add real value. They’re 2.5 times more compression ding resistant on the deck. Greater than 12 times stronger on the rails vs standard polyurethane boards. An average strength and durability index 7 times polyurethane boards. Aviso has prototype boards built 3 years ago, ridden over 1500 waves, without a single pressure ding in the deck, no spider cracks, no delaminating or other standard board derogative damage.
